- September 30, 2008 - Metax, RWE to treat palm oil mill effluent2 - Metax Engineering Corporation has signed a memorandum of understanding with European electricity and gas company RWE to collaborate on setting up plants to treat palm oil mill effluent in South-east Asia. The aim is to reduce the environmental impact of palm oil milling. A large quantity of the greenhouse gas methane is released into the atmosphere when palm oil mill effluent is composted, Metax said.
