Natsteel Limited1 is an investment holding company. It operates in three business divisions: Chemicals, Engineering and Construction Products. The Chemicals Division is engaged in lime manufacturing, with specialized refractory products and environmental services. The Engineering Division is involved in the manufacture of container spreaders.
The Construction Products Division is involved in the manufacture of pre-cast concrete, pre-mix mortar and building-related products. It operates in three geographical areas: Singapore, Asian countries (including People's Republic of China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Indonesia), and other countries (which include the United Kingdom, Australia and Finland). In March 2006, the Company's wholly owned subsidiary, NSL Resorts International Pte Ltd, completed the sale of its entire 30% stake in P.T. Taman Nongsa Indah Village. In May 2007, the Company's 80%-owned subsidiary, Limetreat Trading Co Sdn Bhd, acquired Kemboja Sejahtera Sdn Bhd.
