SCS operates in three segments: infrastructure technology (IT) Business Solutions, IT Infrastructure and Others. Its services range from traditional IT infrastructure, business solutions, systems integration and managed services to Application-Aware Infrastructure, Infrastructure-Aware Applications, converged communications, business rules management systems, business process outsourcing, and business continuity management services.
It services sectors, including government; banking, insurance and financial services; manufacturing, logistics and distribution; healthcare; property, and telecommunications. SCS completed the acquisition of Green Dot Internet Services Pte Ltd in 2007.

- November 3, 2008 - NCS to acquire SCS free-float shares2 - THE remaining free-floating shares of Singapore Computer Systems (SCS) continue to be suspended after the expiry of NCS's takeover offer last Friday. Those shares will now be mandatorily acquired by NCS before SCS is delisted as planned.
- October 4, 2008 - SCS chief quits amid takeover by NCS3 - Singapore Computer Systems (SCS) president and CEO Tan Tong Hai has resigned. Mr Tan will also relinquish his position as an SCS director when he steps down. The resignation comes amid a takeover of SCS by rival NCS, Singapore Telecommunications's IT services subsidiary.
